Coral and Cameos: Timeless Charm that Captivated Milan Fashion Week at the Tod’s Show
An event that once again redefined the traditional concept of a fashion show, bringing to the runway not only the new Tod’s Autumn/Winter 2026/27 collection by Matteo Tamburini, but also the authentic and exclusive Italian craftsmanship.
Alongside the creations of the maison, the hands and stories of artisans and master craftsmen representing centuries-old traditions were showcased on the runway, including the cameos and corals from Torre del Greco.
Master artisans from several Italian production districts took part in the event, symbolizing a supply chain that brings together tradition, innovation and cultural identity.
Our company participated with two master artisans from our historic workshop, demonstrating some stages of coral and cameo carving, a craft that is still performed today in full respect of its authentic tradition, where human skill, creativity and craftsmanship remain at the center of the process.
Torre del Greco is internationally recognized for this refined art, passed down from generation to generation, and our historic company has been dedicated to this precious craft for over a century. The live demonstrations revealed to the audience the complexity and precision required to transform natural materials into true works of art, highlighting the human value behind every creation.
The show therefore went beyond the traditional concept of a runway presentation, becoming a collective narrative of Italian craftsmanship: slow gestures, ancient skills and attention to detail interacted with the contemporary aesthetic of the brand, showing how modern luxury is born from the encounter between cultural heritage and future vision.
We would like to thank the maison and its president Diego Della Valle for this wonderful opportunity, which allowed us to present our craftsmanship and share with a wider audience a tradition with a long and fascinating history. We are immensely proud to have taken part in a collective celebration of Italian artisanal excellence with Tod’s, a brand that has made craftsmanship and Italian sartorial luxury a distinctive hallmark of Made in Italy around the world,” say Manuel and Vincenzo Aucella, today the fourth generation of the historic company from Torre del Greco.
It was an exciting experience, but above all an opportunity to highlight the values that our company has always believed in.
With this initiative, Tod’s once again reaffirmed its commitment to protecting and promoting Italian artisanal excellence, supporting a vision of fashion that is not only about style, but also about culture, territory and community.
A dual and complementary narrative, unfolding on different yet closely connected levels, placing people and traditional crafts at the center of the story of fashion and Made in Italy. Once again, Milan confirmed its role as an international capital of creativity and high-quality manufacturing, while giving the artisans of Torre del Greco the opportunity to tell their story of Italian excellence.
